Opening Invoice Details

This page explains how to open a specific invoice in Dash and review its full billing details.

Why invoice details matter

Opening the full invoice page helps you understand the billing item more clearly than the invoice list alone.

Use it when you want to:

  • confirm what the invoice is for
  • check the current payment status
  • review the issue date and due date
  • verify the total amount
  • understand whether the invoice affects a specific service
  • decide whether payment is still required

Open the billing section

Sign in to Dash and go to the billing section.

From there, open the invoice list and select the invoice you want to review.

Review the invoice header information

When the invoice details page opens, start by reviewing the main visible information.

This may include:

  • invoice number
  • current status
  • issue date
  • due date
  • total amount
  • amount paid
  • balance due

These details give you the first clear picture of the invoice state.

After checking the main invoice information, review the billing context shown on the page.

This helps you understand:

  • which service or action the invoice is related to
  • whether it is tied to a new order or renewal
  • whether the invoice should already be settled

Always confirm that the invoice matches the billing action you expected.

Review payment status carefully

Do not look at the invoice status by itself.

It is best to read it together with:

  • amount paid
  • balance due
  • due date
  • any visible payment or transaction record

For example:

  • a Paid invoice should normally show no remaining balance
  • an Unpaid invoice usually still needs action
  • an invoice with a remaining balance may still be open even if partial payment was made

This helps you confirm whether payment is fully settled or still incomplete.

Review transaction records if shown

Some invoice pages may also show transaction or payment records.

Use this area to confirm details such as:

  • payment method
  • transaction reference
  • successful payment record
  • whether the invoice already has a completed billing event attached to it

This is especially useful when you recently made a payment and want to confirm that it was applied.

Use invoice details before taking action

A good billing habit is to open the invoice details page before paying, following up, or opening a support request.

This helps you avoid mistakes and answer questions such as:

  • am I looking at the correct invoice
  • is the invoice still unpaid
  • is the due date already close
  • does the invoice state match the visible payment record
  • does the invoice state match the related service state

If something looks incorrect

If the invoice details do not match what you expect:

  • refresh the page
  • review the invoice again
  • compare it with the related service state if relevant
  • review whether the payment flow fully completed
  • contact support if the issue continues

When contacting support, include the invoice number and the visible invoice status.
