Updating Profile Details

This page explains how to review and update your profile information in Dash.

When to update profile details

Update your profile details when:

  • your contact information changes
  • your billing-related account details need correction
  • your organization information changes
  • your security settings need review
  • your profile information is no longer current

Keeping profile information accurate helps reduce confusion in billing, support, and account communication.

Open the profile section

Sign in to Dash and go to the profile section.

From there, open the main editable profile area.

Depending on the current interface, profile editing may include more than one section on the same page.

Review current information first

Before making changes, review the currently visible profile information carefully.

This may include:

  • full name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • country, state, city, and postal details
  • address
  • organization-related fields
  • secondary WHOIS information if shown

Make sure you are editing the correct account before saving any changes.

Update only the fields that need attention

Change only the fields that need to be corrected or updated.

When updating profile details, make sure the information is:

  • accurate
  • current
  • actively monitored when relevant
  • consistent with how the account should be billed and managed

Always review the entered details carefully before saving them.

Review contact and organization details carefully

Some fields matter more than others in daily account operations.

Pay special attention to:

  • primary email address
  • phone number
  • billing-related identity details
  • organization-related information if applicable

Small mistakes in these fields can create billing confusion, missed notices, or support delays later.

The profile section may also include security-related controls such as:

  • two-factor authentication status
  • password change actions
  • other account security options shown in Dash

Review these settings carefully and confirm they match how you want the account protected.

Some profile views may also show recent account activity.

This can help you confirm:

  • recent login activity
  • recent account-related changes
  • whether profile actions happened when expected

If visible activity does not match what you expect, review the account carefully before making more changes.

Review secondary WHOIS information if shown

If the profile page includes secondary WHOIS-related information, review it carefully before saving any changes.

This is especially important when:

  • domain-related identity details should match the primary profile
  • separate WHOIS-related information is needed
  • organization or contact records must stay consistent

Always confirm whether the visible WHOIS-related information should remain separate or match your main account profile.

Save the changes

After reviewing the updated details, save the changes.

Once saved, the new information should appear in your profile section.

If the page does not update immediately, refresh it and review the saved values again.

Why accuracy matters

Correct profile details help with:

  • receiving important notices
  • keeping billing information consistent
  • making support communication easier
  • reducing account-related confusion later
  • keeping identity-related records aligned with account use

If changes do not save correctly

If your updated information does not appear correctly after saving:

  • refresh the page
  • review the fields again
  • confirm that the correct account is open
  • contact support if the issue continues

When contacting support, include a short description of the issue and the field that is affected.
