Understanding Service Tabs
This page explains the common tabs you may see when opening a service in Dash.
The exact tabs can vary depending on the service type, but the overall structure is usually similar.
Why service tabs exist
Service tabs help separate different kinds of information and actions so service management stays clear and organized.
Instead of placing everything on one page, Dash usually groups service details into sections such as Overview, Management, Statistics, and Billing.
Overview tab
The Overview tab is usually the first place to start.
It typically shows the main service information, such as:
- service name or label
- current status
- location
- plan-related details
- IP address or other core identifiers
- creation date
- operating system or service-specific summary details
Use the Overview tab when you need a quick summary of the service before doing anything else.
Management tab
The Management tab is where you perform direct service actions.
Depending on the service type, this may include actions such as:
- power controls
- restart or reboot actions
- reinstall options
- password reset options
- console-related options
- other service-specific controls
Always review the selected action carefully before confirming it.
Statistics tab
The Statistics tab helps you review service usage and general operational behavior.
Depending on the service, this may include:
- CPU usage
- memory usage
- storage usage
- bandwidth or traffic information
- uptime or basic activity indicators
Use this tab when you want to check load, review resource behavior, or investigate performance concerns.
Billing tab
The Billing tab shows service-related financial and lifecycle information.
This may include:
- current billing cycle
- next due date
- invoice links
- payment status
- renewal-related information
- cancellation-related actions
Use this tab when you need to confirm whether the service is in good billing standing or whether lifecycle state may be affecting it.
Why tabs may differ between services
Not every service uses the exact same structure.
For example:
- a VPS may show Overview, Management, Statistics, and Billing
- a Dedicated Server may show Overview, Management, Statistics, and Billing
- a domain may show Overview, Management, and Billing
- another service may use a smaller or more specialized layout
The available tabs depend on the service type and its current workflow.
Best practice
When working with a service in Dash, it is usually best to:
- start with the Overview tab
- move to the tab related to your task
- confirm the service state before making changes
This helps reduce mistakes and keeps the workflow simple.
If a tab is missing or unavailable
If a tab does not appear, is disabled, or does not load correctly:
- refresh the page
- review the service status again
- confirm that the service is in the expected lifecycle state
- check whether there is a billing issue
- contact support if the issue continues
