Troubleshooting
This page covers common domain issues and the first checks you should make before contacting support.
Always use the visible domain status, billing state, and management options shown in Dash as your primary reference.
Domain is not active after payment
If payment is completed but the domain is not active yet:
- refresh Dash and check the domain again
- confirm that the related invoice shows as paid
- allow a reasonable processing window
- verify that the domain appears in your domain list
If this is a transfer, remember that transfers may take longer than new registrations because approval and registrar-side processing may be involved.
If the delay continues, contact support and include:
- domain name
- invoice number if relevant
- whether this is a registration or transfer
Domain is unavailable
If the domain you want cannot be registered:
- check the exact spelling again
- review the selected extension
- confirm whether the domain is already taken
- choose another available domain if needed
Always review the search results carefully before continuing with checkout.
Transfer is still pending
If a domain transfer is not completing:
- confirm that all required transfer steps were completed
- verify that the authorization code was entered correctly if required
- make sure the domain is unlocked if that is part of the transfer requirement
- allow time for transfer processing
- review the visible transfer state in Dash if available
If the transfer remains pending for longer than expected, contact support and include:
- domain name
- related invoice number if available
- the current transfer state shown in Dash
Nameserver or DNS-related changes do not appear correctly
If nameserver or DNS-related settings are missing, unavailable, or not updating as expected:
- refresh the page
- wait a short moment and check again
- confirm that the domain is in the correct lifecycle state
- review whether the domain is still processing or transferring
- verify that the selected DNS method matches your intended setup
If the issue continues, contact support with the domain name and the exact setting involved.
WHOIS, privacy, or transfer lock settings do not update
If WHOIS information, privacy settings, or transfer lock controls do not update as expected:
- refresh the page
- review the current domain status
- confirm that the domain is fully active
- check whether the extension supports that setting
- verify that the request was submitted successfully
Some management options depend on the domain extension and registrar support, so not every domain will show the same controls.
Renewal issue
If you believe the domain may be affected by a renewal problem:
- review the related invoice
- confirm the due date
- check whether payment has been fully applied
- verify the visible renewal or expiry state in Dash
A domain may leave the normal active state if renewal is not completed in time.
Domain appears in the account but does not behave as expected
If the domain appears in Dash but something still seems wrong:
- review the current domain status
- confirm whether the domain is still processing
- check whether there is a transfer-related state affecting it
- review whether billing or expiry state may be involved
- check the visible management and billing sections together
This helps determine whether the issue is operational, billing-related, transfer-related, or part of normal domain processing.
When to contact support
Contact support when:
- the domain does not activate after a reasonable processing period
- a transfer remains stuck
- domain settings do not appear correctly
- billing seems correct but the visible domain state is still wrong
- you believe there is a platform-side or registrar-side issue
When opening a support request, include:
- domain name
- invoice number if relevant
- a short description of the issue
- the exact action you were trying to perform
- any visible error message
